Badrinath Temple is a highly sacred Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in the town of Badrinath, Uttarakhand. This spiritual landmark is one of the 108 Divya Desams, the holy shrines for Vaishnavas where Vishnu is worshiped as Badrinarayan. The temple is open only six months a year, from late April to early November. It is located on the banks of the Alaknanda River in the Garhwal hill tracks of Chamoli district.
