Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Reading and Interpreting Blueprints:
- Study and interpret structural blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to understand the type, quantity, and placement of reinforcement steel required.

Preparing and Cutting Steel:
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape steel bars and mesh according to project requirements and specifications.
- Use tools such as rebar cutters, benders, and welding equipment.

Placing and Securing Reinforcement:
- Install and position steel reinforcement bars and mesh within concrete forms, ensuring correct placement according to design specifications.
- Secure the reinforcement using ties, clamps, or welding as needed to ensure stability during the pouring of concrete.

Ensuring Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure that all work complies with building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.

Collaborating with Other Trades:
- Work closely with other construction workers, including carpenters, concrete finishers, and supervisors, to ensure the smooth progression of the construction project.

Inspecting and Quality Control:
- Inspect and test the reinforcement work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications before the concrete is poured.
- Address any issues or defects in the reinforcement to prevent future structural problems.

Maintaining Tools and Equipment:
- Regularly maintain and clean tools and equipment used in steel fixing to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.

Following Project Schedules:
- Adhere to project timelines and schedules, working efficiently to meet deadlines and project milestones.

Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures on site.

Skill & Experience
Qualifications:
